What’s the first record you ever bought?
Michael Jackson – Thriller. Like so many other young artists, MJ was my first musical inspiration. I think everyone has a favourite song by him.
Your favourite ever record?
There are so many records I love but if I have to pick a favourite it’d be ‘Run To The Sun’ by N.E.R.D. When you’re out at night in the summer, just listen to that track on your headphones and you’ll know why I love it so much.
The guaranteed floor-filler?
Joey Beltram ‘Energy Flash’. It’s simply a classic which nobody can deny.
The guilty pleasure?
I don’t know if it’s really a guilty pleasure but I love the first album by Justin Timberlake. I’m a big Neptunes fan so I like the part of the album that has been produced by them the most. I just love how they managed to make pop music sound interesting to me again.
