I wish I’d known how to control my emotions. I’m a very emotional person, and it’s got me into situations I wish I’d never got into. I envy those who can hide theirs, as it gives you an upper hand in a lot of situations. I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve in every aspect of life and if I’d learned how to control it I think I may be a happier being.

I guess we’re all wired differently. A lot of artists I know are emotional people. Maybe it gives us an ability to convey this on a record so that other people, no matter how emotional they are, can connect to what we’re saying or making?

Be guided by your instincts as to where a relationship might possibly lead you.

According to Wikipedia “emotional responses are often regarded as the keystone to experiencing art, and the creation of an emotional experience has been argued as the purpose of artistic expression”. So maybe I should be happy that I am indeed an emotional being. It fuels my creativity and drives me forward in all aspects of my life. But sometimes not in the right way. If only I could turn it off and on when I needed to create. Maybe that’s something I need to master?

  • Cool!

Can definitely recognise some of these.

My big regret? Not having more confidence in what I was doing earlier and thinking that more kit would instil that confidence.

  • I´d wish Dan Curtin stayed on his initial path. Most of his earlier stuff is amazing.

  • I dig this. Attack you guys are absolutely killing it with these articles. I feel that this collective really aims to please the serious artists out here and not just cater to the business aspect. Yes, electronic music is getting much bigger but those of us that take it seriously still need an outlet and a space like this to gather information but also share ideas. Great stuff!
