For sale. The Chemical Brothers are auctioning off sales awards including their gold disc for Dig Your Own Hole, with all proceeds going to victims of the Grenfell Tower fire in London. Place your bids here.

Rip off. According to research by the IPO and PRS, ripping streams from YouTube and Spotify has become the fastest growing form of piracy. The activity has seen a 141.3% increase between 2014 and 2016. Read more on RA.

Plug in. Modular maestro Suzanne Ciani performed one of her amazing shows at Ableton’s Loop conference last year and you can now watch and listen to her Buchla system performance, above.

Mind of its own. Aphex Twin has been working with Midimutant, a Raspberry Pi-based project that uses artificial evolution so your synth programs itself. Input comes via the mic, with output through MIDI. Watch it in action above and find out more here.

Winner. Music startup Audiu was awarded Best Music Project 2017 at Sonar+D last year for the way it has innovatively gamified the act of musicians giving each other feedback on their work.
