Objekt Live at Freerotation. Berlin-based experimental techno producer Objekt – aka TJ Hertz – uploads a recording of his set at Freerotation Festival, and explains that he decided to “leave out the drastic tempo shifts and just have A LOAD OF FUN keeping the party going instead,” playing high-energy techno. Fred P Live from Comunité Festival. Deep house legend and boss of the Soul People Music imprint, New York’s Fred P – aka Black Jazz Consortium – shares a segment of his performance at Comunité Festival, which took place deep in the Mayan jungle at the sacred site of Cenote dos Palmas. Chicago-born crate digger and house hero Rahaan Young, whose productions and edits have found homes in KAT Records, Past Due, Jiscomusic and Stilove4music, features as the latest RA podcast, which showcases his impressive DJ skills in an action-packed hour of crackly disco-funk gems. Once known as Artful Dodger, the UK garage duo behind Craig David‘s breakout hit ‘Re-Rewind’, Original Dodger‘s Fact mix is a history lesson in garage and 2-step. Nicola Kazimir’s Obscure Oddities. Nicola Kazimir is a member of record label and art collective Les Points, and an artist whose activities include fine art, running an off-space, writing, curating (which, for him, includes DJing), and production.
