‘Where Love Lives: A Story of Dancefloor Expression’ is due to be released this summer.

Nightlife brand and record label Glitterbox have announced they will be releasing a feature-length film exploring dance music’s role as a safe space for marginalised individuals and communities. ‘Where Love Lives: A Story of Dancefloor Expression’ is set to be released later this summer and is described as “a story of music’s enduring power to manifest diverse and inclusive community, and the power of that community to accept and embrace, to liberate, even to save lives. It’s a story of acceptance and creative expression – empowered, enabled and soundtracked by club music.”

The documentary, which was filmed in New York, Ibiza, Paris and London, features contributions from Billy Porter, Honey Dijon, Kathy Sledge, Kiddy Smile, Lucy Fizz, John ‘Jellybean’ Benitez, Glitterbox founder Simon Dunmore and Nicky Siano. ‘Where Love Lives…’ director Brilliams said “I’ve always been fascinated by the positive effects of music and the communities that grow around it. Since the inception of dance music, dancefloors have been rich ground for community, and an incredible representation of cultural identity and self-expression.”

Glitterbox is one of the world’s best-known club nights. From their beginnings as a weekly party in Ibiza, they’ve grown into a global brand putting on parties in New York, Amsterdam, Croatia, Australia and more.
