Massive Waves

For each of Massive’s oscillators there are over 80 wavetables available. For convenience these are divided into five categories, ranging from simple analogue shapes to metallic harshness and full-on chords.

You can find a useful graphical overview of the many waveform transitions in Massive here.

To get started, it’s simply a matter of selecting a wavetable from the menu, then using the Wt-position control to move through the wavetable.

In this way you can find a timbre you like for each oscillator, then tune them, applying filters and tweaking the amp and filter envelopes to taste as if you were using a conventional subtractive synth.

Three oscillators in action
