Berlin-based Adam Studio has announced the T8V, the latest nearfield monitors in the T-series.

The T8V studio monitor, Adam Audio’s latest entry in their T-series, is now available in retail stores, the company has announced. With an eight-inch woofer, it’s the largest nearfield monitor in the series, which also includes the T5V, T7V, and T10S subwoofer.

Like the other entries in the series, the new monitor has a frequency response that reaches as low as 33 Hz and as high as 25 kHz and can push an SPL (sound pressure level) of 118 dB, which make it “it an ideal choice for project and home studios, (and) clients who work in bass-heavy music genres such as hip-hop, dance, ambient, dub and EDM,” the company said.

The T8V features technology originally developed for the company’s high-end flagship S series but at a much lower price point. It features a 1.9-inch T Series U-ART tweeter (Unique Accelerated Ribbon Tweeter), which is connected to a waveguide with the same dispersion-control attributes as the HPS waveguide in the S Series. “This allows an optimal radiation of the high frequencies, which means the advantage of a more controlled, larger usable sweet spot during monitoring,” the company explains. The T8V sports Class D amplifiers for the tweeter and woofer, offering 20 watts and 70 watts respectively.

As with the other members of the T-series, the T8V has a bevelled cabinet design, rear-firing bass reflex port, built-in DSP-controlled driver crossovers and equalization, and multi-way analogue connections. It also includes adjustable high and low-shelf filters to ensure adaptation to different listening environments and XLR and RCA analogue inputs. It is compatible with the T10S subwoofer.

The T8V speaker is now available for £259, $299, and €299.
