Fabric set to reopen with stringent new licensing deal. The club, whose licence was revoked in August, have been granted a new licence to reopen. To say thank you for the huge support from the dance music community, the club released a brief statement here: “Thank you to all of you. Without the strength of your backing this would not have happened. You saved fabric.” Full details of the licensing terms – which include increased CCTV surveillance, ID scanners and lifetime bans for anyone caught trying to buy drugs – can be found here.

The Social announce Winter 2017 lineup. Fans can expect to see Alan Fitzpatrick, Marc and Nic Fanciulli, Bas Ibellini, Steve Lawler and Seth Troxler to name just a few. The event takes place in March 2017. For tickets, visit the website here.

Fabric’s art director discusses his work. Roberto Rosolin has been the art director of Fabric for the past 17 years. In the video above, he provides a fascinating insight into his use of minimal resources to great visual effect. The talk is part of It’s Nice That’s Nicer Tuesdays series.

FabFilter announced new reverb plugin. The Pro R reverb plugin includes an industry first Decay Rate EQ concept that introduces free adjustment of the decay time over the frequency spectrum. Online Acid Machine updated. Acid Machine is a free to use web-based drum machine and sequencer. Only available via Google Chrome, it has recently been updated to include features such as Rebirth and ABL2 file import. Based on the TB-303, the multi kit machine is available to try here.
