EHX Reimagines Cult Classic Drum Synths. Electro-Harmonix has brought back their distinctive cult classic analogue drum synthesisers, putting their original 1979 circuitry in two modern units. The new Crash Pad can create an array of drum sounds and other-worldly oscillation sweeps, whereas the new Super Space Drum creates sounds ranging from deep kicks to high toms to sci-fi drums. SoundCloud Reaches Licensing Deal with UMG. “We look forward to… the company’s evolution into a successful commercial service.” SoundCloud has agreed terms with Universal Music over licensing of the label’s catalog. UMG will be able to monetise use of their music, as well as user-generated content like remixes and mashups, on the streaming platform through advertising, Billboard reports. Find out more here.
