Legowelt releases free 808 emulator for Ableton Live. Smackos 808 Simulator is a new drum machine device designed by Danny Wolfers and Jimi Helloing. It’s a digital TR-808 emulation for Ableton 9.7 and above, sampled from Legowelt’s own TR-808. GEMA agrees deal with YouTube. German royalty agency GEMA has agreed a deal which will allow YouTube viewers to watch blocked music videos. According to a statement on the GEMA website, 70,000 rights holders will now receive royalty payments.
Musicians three times more likely to suffer from depression. Research suggests that musicians are three times more likely to suffer from depression than the general public. Help Musicians UK’s Can Music Make You Sick survey revealed that 71% of musicians taking part had experienced anxiety and panic attacks, while 65% had suffered from depression.
