The Canadian-born, Berlin-dwelling synth and drum machine don Mathew Jonson (whose studio tour for Attack is a must-see) warms up for his appearance at MUTEK Festival by creating a mix of music that’s “exquisitely emotive, rhythmically ambitious and melodically complex, with threads of jazz, classical and the indescribable” for the latest XLR8R podcast. Phantasy Sound‘s Erol Alkan makes an exclusive 60-minute acid and techno mix to promote his appearances at Sonar Festival 2015 in Barcelona, where he’ll play the main stage on the 20th and at the Resident Advisor party with Andy Stott, Gerd Janson, I-F and Jackmaster on the 18th.
