Combining music production and gaming, the live music competition in Atlanta runs from 15th to 17th December. Find a musical partner and enter via Audiotool’s Discord or at the in person event.

Audiotool, the free online music creation platform where you can make music through your browser, and DreamHack, the gaming lifestyle festival, are partnering for next week’s DreamHack festival in Atlanta.

The partnership sees the two brands host a live music competition open to anyone. You can enter by either being at the festival or online via Audiotool’s Discord channel.

Watching and voting take place via the livestream on the Audiotool website or their Twitch channel. However, you can not enter alone. You’ll need a partner.

How to enter?

The challenge is to join 2.46 million other users and use Audiotool to create an anthem for DreamHack. The winning track will become the event’s official anthem and be featured in the event’s after-movie. Plus there are prizes up for grabs.

Mark the Time

Every day at 4pm EST, the challenge timer will begin. You will have a specified allotted time to make the best track possible with a variety of tasks.

The Agenda

Dec 15 at 4pm  – The hosts will spin “The Wheel of Genres”. The challenge is to create a track in 30 minutes with elements of that genre.

Dec 16 at 4pm – Those taking part will have access to an exclusive sample pack created by po9t. The best tracks will move on to the next round.

Dec 17 at 4pm – The semi-finals and finals round. The one-of-a-kind live production showdown will feature never-before-heard acapellas from special guest stars.

Prizes

The winning partnership will each get a pair of $300 Audeze Headphones. All teams that participate will get AudioTools merch.

The winners get a pair of Maxwell Wireless Gaming Headset each worth $299.

Voting

For the first and second rounds, there will be a polling system at the end of the challenge, with contestants either moving forward or being eliminated.

A total of 8 teams will survive the first round, and only four can move on to the final round.

There will be a live jury for the semi-finals and finals to determine the grand winner. Eminem’s producer, WLPWR, will moderate Audiotool’s Producer Playoffs, the music production live competition this Saturday at 4pm EST and you can tune in on Twitch to watch it.

How to prepare

If you are interested in participating, pair up with a partner who is available for all those days to collaborate and make some music.
