The best chillout record?

My ultimate chillout record is a track by Freescha called ‘Lift’. It’s a kind of sad and reflective sounding track but is so well produced. It sounds like it’s being played inside a huge cave with these amazing acoustics that work really well with the organ sounds.

The record everyone loves but you hate?

This would have to Mory Kante – ‘Yeke Yeke’. Literally every DJ played this for years but I never understood why people liked it so much!

The best record for a family party?

This just has to be Masters At Work – ‘To Be In Love’. Such a timeless track that’s soulful and groovy. Perfect for all ages.

The soundtrack to a lazy Sunday afternoon?

I’ll go for ‘Virtual Insanity’ by Jamiroquai. It’s so relaxing and trippy but with a gentle, soulful edge. It’s perfect for me to relax to.

The future classic?

My choice would be Johannes Heil – ‘From Within’. It just gets better and better the more I listen to it and doesn’t get old at all.
