SYZ

Genre

Percussive, drummy techno, grime-tinted broken beat steppers, and UK sound system rollers.

About

Syz, originally from Brighton and now based in London, has been creating a buzz in the music scene over the past few years. He has consistently released tracks through respected labels like Banoffee Pies, Pressure Dome, Control Freak Recordings, Shanti Celeste’s Peach Discs, and more recently, Unknown Untitled. Syz has set the standard for emerging talent in the UK and earned the endorsement of notable figures like Mary Anne Hobbs, Pearson Sound, Pangaea, Zenker Brothers, and Saorise

Syz is a regular at Pirate’s London recording studios for heads-down music production sessions. He also uses their DJ studios to refine his mixing style, which has earned him bookings in the UK at renowned venues such as Venue MOT in London, The Love Inn in Bristol, and Patterns in Brighton, to name a few. Securing a number of bookings abroad in 2023, Syz is expected to gain even more momentum on the international stage in 2024.

What’s next?

Syz’s track, “Dddanz,” on the recent Unknown Untitled VA compilation has paved the way for a more club-focused output from the producer in the coming months. He also has a forthcoming remix in the works for Lucas SM, which will be released on the Barcelona-based label, Noise Pollution Recordings. Furthermore, he is currently hard at work on plans to launch his own label imprint, “Vitalizm,” which is scheduled to launch in early 2024
