Who are you?

I am LOUISAHHH!!! I am a singer, producer, DJ, half of NYCPARTYINFO, ‘First Lady of Bromance’. I hope am always evolving, with integrity. I am thrilled to be alive.

What do you sound like?

My standard answer for this is ‘unicorn laughter’, because that’s what I aspire to. More specifically: walking the line between hard and deep, tough and sweet. Some sort of a Loving Truth, I hope.

Why should we listen to you?

All of the work I make, be it solo material, collaborative, vocal or otherwise – especially DJ sets – is an attempt at expressing my joy and gratitude at the opportunity to do this for a living. In essence, ‘I love this thing very much. I made this for you. Share it with me.’

What have you released so far? What else have you got coming out in the near future?

As a vocalist, I’ve done several collaborations with Brodinski, and now am working on a solo release for his Bromance records, a family that I’m really thrilled to be a part of. Also last year’s ‘Your Everything’ with Danny Daze was an exciting thing. My duo with Stevie Be, NYCPARTYINFO, recently released an EP on Throne of Blood and has a track coming out with Young Adults in the near future.

There is a ton of stuff in the pipeline – solo work that has yet to find a home, collaborations with Atapy, Carretta & Workerpoor, NightTalk, Walker & Royce, Light Year, Sam Tiba, Craig Williams, Prince Club, Renaissance Man… I am so excited about music right now. Never not working.

What song sums you up?

That’s tricky. I guess the forthcoming Bromance release is really a statement about who I am and what I do, musically – in this moment, at least. On a personal level, how could you ever choose just one song to sum you up?! I will say that Tevo Howard’s ‘Spend Some Time (Underground Mix)’ is pretty perfect. I love ‘sad house’ as a genre.

What or who is your biggest influence?

Love and Service, the Light and the Darkness.

Where can we hear your music?

On my SoundCloud.

Where will you be in five years’ time?

Working hard, making magic. Putting in the work, staying out of the results – my mind has been blown by the life I have been given thus far; I can’t yet fathom what things will look like in the next five years but I have faith in something extraordinary. Stay tuned.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself.

I am a competitive long-distance trail runner and a certified spinning instructor. My best friend is a horse.
