This week’s top mixes include Serge and Legowelt from Sonar, tech-house master Mr G,  Juan Atkins in London, and Four Tet’s Dekmantel Adventure.

Serge and Legowelt Go Stratospheric at Sonar. Serge’Clone Records threw a Jack for Daze party at this year’s Sonar and recorded both Legowelt‘s and Serge’s own “stratospheric” sets, both of which are now available to stream above. Serge’s track listing is provided here. Serge also contributed to our recent feature, What Makes A Great DJ?, alongside the likes of Dave Clarke, Mr G and Mosca. Read it here.

Tech-house master Mr G in the mix. A force of nature for more than two decades now, Londoner Colin McBean has been called a legend for his immense contribution to dance music. As Mr G, he’s released his own brand of dark, sexy and finely sculpted house music, with thick, heavy basslines and socio-political samples, via the likes of Phoenix G, Holic Traxx, Rekids. Stream his In Session mix for Mixmag above and download it here.

Four Tet’s Dekmentel Adventure. Known for acclaimed ‘indietronica’ albums, collaborations with Steve Reid and Burial, and many club singles and EPs via his own label Text, Londoner Kieran Hebden, aka Four Tet, recently played an adventurous two-hour set at Dekmantel Festival in which he ranged “niche Indian music to classic house, dirty STL cuts to synthetic tech and Latin tinged funk”. Stream and download a recording of the set in the latest episode of the Dekmantel Podcast above, and find a track listing here.

Juan Atkins in London. Juan Atkins is the pioneering Detroit musician behind aliases Cybotron, Model 500 and Infiniti, widely credited as one of the originators of techno alongside fellow Detroit icons Kevin Saunderson and Derrick May. On a recent visit to London, Atkins dropped into Dalston’s NTS Radio studio for an hour-long session. Stream it above.

A wall of sound from Perc. Perc, aka Ali Wells, showcases his uncompromisingly noisy style of industrially-influenced techno in the latest podcast for Italian electronic music magazine Soundwall. Stream and download above, track listing here.
