Holly Herndon Lectures at Ableton’s Loop Summit. Ableton have shared a pair of videos documenting electronic musician Holly Herndon‘s lectures at their inaugural Loop event, which was recently held in Berlin. In the first, Herndon explains the role of process in her creative practice, and in the second video, she discusses artistry as activism. Watch above.

Technics Explain New 1200 Turntable’s Hefty Price Tag. “Everything is new, apart from the dust cover…” Attracting plenty of excitement and attention in hi-fi and DJ circles alike since it was announced back in January, Technics explains that a complete redesign is behind the new SL-1200G turntable’s hefty £3,000 price tag. SFX Announces Plans to Auction Beatport. Following its filing for bankruptcy and the removal of CEO and founder Robert Sillerman last month, EDM corporation SFX Entertainment has announced plans to put the digital download platform Beatport, which it purchased in 2013 for $50 million, up for auction in May.
