Music Production For Women, MPW, are offering a day of masterclasses in London on the 16th of July 2022, to provide essential knowledge for getting started in the music industry.
Music Production for Women (MPW) is a global movement, community and online education platform which aims to encourage and empower women who are taking their first steps into music production.
Founded in East London by artist, producer and Top 50 East London Innovator of 2020, Xylo Aria, MPW aims to provide an environment where individuals identifying as women can feel comfortable and supported through their production journey.
The event, titled “Master Your Music – Live”, will be held at the University of Westminster on July 16th. It will feature sessions with the likes of MPG award-winning producer, Charlie Deakin-Davies, Ableton Certified trainer and Youtuber, LNA and CEO, Xylo Aria. There will be more teachers announced also.
The event is backed by Sonnox, Distrokid, Ableton, Session and Songtrust and will be free for anyone to attend when they secure early bird tickets prior to the 30th of June 2022.
The day will run from 10 am to 4:30 pm and will feature seven in-person workshops on a variety of topics that many independent artists today need to know, such as the basics of music production, sound design and mixing, music marketing, PR and songwriting workflow.

- How to produce great tracks without spending lots of money on samples & plugins
- Tips for songwriting in your production software, melodies and lyrics
- Successful mixing workflows from stems to mixdown
- How to turn your production into a live and playable performance
- The vocal production process and how to make your vocals stand out in your track
- How to create and track your goals to reach them more often
- How to improve your mindset and learn your strengths as a musician and as an individual
