Nicky Siano’s Last Party. The legendary NYC DJ, party host and nightlife icon who opened SoHo’s The Gallery in 1972 and held a residency at Studio 54 uploads a four-part recording of the sounds that soundtracked his recent Coney Island party, at which he span “NYC classics all night” in celebration of his 60th year. Squarepusher – Shut Up And Dance, 1990-1992. Following the release of his latest album Damogen Furies, the Warp Records titan and bass guitar experimentalist Tom ‘Squarepusher‘ Jenkinson steps up to the latest FACT mix, titled Shut Up And Dance, 1990-1992, in which he remembers the rave music from the turn of the 1990s that inspired him and many of his contemporaries, ahead of what is billed to be his biggest live show yet in October. Strobewax Radio hosting Roger Gerressen. Strobewax is a Leeds-based underground label, and a radio show run and hosted by Bobby O’Donnell and Annie Errez on independent radio station KMAH Radio. They recently uploaded a recording of one of last months shows, which features a guest mix from the Dutch DJ and producer Roger Gerressen, who co-founded techno label ESHU Records. Opal Tapes’ MUTEK Preview. Stephen Bishop is the lone curatorial mastermind behind labour-of-love cassette label Opal Tapes, which has been releasing attitude-driven experimental house and techno music alongside drone expeditions from artists including Huerco S, Wanda Group and Patricia. Here he offers a preview podcast for MUTEK festival under his own musical alias Basic House, hinting at Opal Tapes to come. Stream above.

Mumdance’s Hardcore Classics Mix. Mumdance‘s 25 minute ‘Lights On’ mix, which was aired last month on BBC Radio 1Xtra, is now available as a SoundCloud stream and download. The set sprints through his selection of high-octane hardcore classics in promotion of the next Different Circles party on 16th May @ Queen of Hoxton, where DJ Vibes, Raime and others will play more of the same.
