The label with the best artwork

Smallvile Records

“I may not know art but I know what I like,” as the old saying goes, and indeed I’m not an art expert but I really appreciate the visual stylings of Smallville Records. Record sleeves that wouldn’t look one bit out of place if you hung them on the wall of a trendy coffee shop or fashion boutique. The music is ace too!

The label I’m most inspired by as a new A&R

Deeply Rooted (formerly Deeply Rooted House)

Another French label and another one that is operated by an immense talent in DJ Deep. When a label has put out work from the likes of Kerri Chandler, Ben Klock, Mike Dehnert, Mr K-Alexi, DJ Gregory and Jonas Kopp you know whoever the captain of the ship is has seriously good taste. Recently dropping ‘House’ from its name to emphasise its focus towards techno, Deep’s widely acclaimed imprint continues to inspire me in terms of which music I sign with the goal of releasing records that will still be found in DJs’ record boxes many, many years down the line

Rogue Society launched with the release of Jordan’s ‘S.O.O.N.’, out now featuring remixes from Mike Huckaby and Nikola Gala. Find Jordan on Facebook, Twitter and SoundCloud.
