Introducing Voyeur, recent signees to Kerri Chandler’s Madhouse who make dusty house music inspired by J Dilla and love avocados.

Voyeur 2

Who are you?

We are the two Londoners who make up Voyeur.

What do you sound like?

An amalgamation of everything we aspire to be. But mainly with a fat house groove underneath it all.

Why should we listen to you?

Why not?

What have you released so far? What else have you got coming out in the near future?

We have done a few remixes for various artists and had our debut release through Kerri Chandler’s Madtech imprint called ‘Blame It On The Youth’. We have a forthcoming release on the daddy label, Madhouse, too – it’s called ‘Rain Away’ and is out next month. We also recently finished a remix for Kerri which will see a release on Watergate that we’re really excited about. And if you’re looking for a free download we recently put an edit of Thelma Houston up for grabs on our Soundcloud page.

What song sums you up? Why?

Leo: Stevo – ‘Jammin’. This got a re-release a year or so ago and it’s still getting spun almost every week. It sums up my passion for random funk gems.

Benson: Supermax – ‘Love Machine’. Title says it all.

What or who is your biggest influence and why?

Leo: MPCs, dusty samples, sub bass, and of course Fender Rhodes!

Benson: Life, experiences, J Dilla.

Where can we hear your music?

Stand upon any hilltop to hear our downwind grooves. Or click here.

Where will you be in five years’ time?

If all goes accordingly and the technical advances keep at their pace, hopefully grooving on the moon.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself.

We weirdly look like brothers and both love avocados.

Kerri Chandler presents Kaoz with Voyeur plus special guests on Friday March 21st in an East London venue TBA. Find Voyeur on Facebook, Twitter and SoundCloud.
